After you create/load a world you probably would like to be able to move and look around.
Below you can find out how you can move around, rotate and zoom in or out.
Move the camera
press the directional keys ➡️ ⬆️ ⬇️ ⬅️ or WSAD keys to move forward, backwards, right or left.
press Q to go up and E to go down.
to move faster, press and hold Shift + a direction key / WSAD (you can change the default speed of the camera movements by holding the right click and using the scroll wheel)
you can also press and hold the left mouse button (LMB) to move around faster and turn around.
holding CTRL and using the scroll wheel changes the rotation speed
holding ALT and using right mouse button allows you to change the camera angle.
all these movements are done only in relation to the current camera angle. This means that going left via the left arrow key is strafing left, but it will not rotate the camera. On the screen below, in the default camera position, going forward will get you closer to the mountains but will not allow the camera to “dive into” the water. You first need to rotate the camera down.
Rotate
To change the camera angle (turn around, look down or up) you need the click and hold the right mouse button (RMB) and then move the mouse.
Zoom in/Zoom out
Want to take a close look at something in the distance without changing your position? Simply use CTRL+ to zoom in and then CTRL- to zoom out back to the default view.
Reset camera rotation
If you tilted your camera and are not sure how to set it back to its original position, go to the Edit menu and choose Reset Camera Rotation.
