Switch between the game and editor

After you started the game while in the editor you can very easily switch back to editing mode.

And as you will be doing this multiple times, it’s good to know the fastest way. Also, you can check how to disable some potentially annoying popups.

Switch between the game and editor

It can be done with pressing just one magic key.

press F10 (or fn+F10 on laptops) to go back

As you can see on the screenshot below, pressing that button takes you from the game right back to editing your world or the world which has to be loaded for that mission / quest (here it’s Kaer Morhen). Pressing it again will take you back to the game.

Keep the game camera position

Would you like to go back to the editor in the exact same spot where you stood in the game?

Then before you start the game from the editor (or during if you can free the mouse cursor from the constraint of the game window) select the red camera button in the Start / Load game section.

If this is selected pressing F10 / fn+F10 will take you back to the editor with the camera in the same position as in the game.
